The Small Bathroom Company opened two decades ago, at the start of the industry's turning-point that saw the end of the cold forgotten rooms with pedestal basins and synthetic floors and the beginning of rooms that the household would actually want to spend time in, enhance the home and add significant value return on property as one of the most important home improvements.

Now the bathroom has become one of the most important rooms in the home. A room that completes a property with style and function.

We’ve intentionally grown in reputation and solidity rather than size, so as to offer a unique level of close focus and attention on our customers’ projects. It’s part of our niche positioning within the market-place and it just works as you’ll see from our reviews!

We are designers and suppliers to the trade and public. Local customers, architects, designers and builders. While we work on full bathroom refurbishments, we are always happy to help you if you have a small requirement, help with a replacement shower or just one tap.

SARAH

A passionate designer who constantly ensures our creative energy never rests, that we are never further than the front of the latest ideas, Sarah’s input on our customer’s is huge.

Graduating with honors in Interior Design, Sarah teaches and lectures on interiors at Richmond College and runs courses in her spare time (on top of being a very busy mum!), while adding her relentless enthusiasm to every customer project, no matter how small or straightforward.

Having a team that can look at the Bathroom as a key place in the home in a holistic way, makes a significant difference to the individuality in every design solution.

Textures, tiles, taps, baths and everything that makes ordinary Bathrooms into stylish and functional sanctuaries is what Sarah loves to spend her time exploring and applying each day.

DAVID

Founded The Small Bathroom Company two decades ago with the idea of bringing business-to-business methods to the domestic sector.

Graduating from Berkshire in design around the early 80's before studying branding, marketing and communications, David worked for some of Europe's leading branding and design consultancies in London.

The latter consultancy moved him into interiors for commercial, galleries, museums and unusual locations and it is this, with half of his friends in the design world and the other half in construction and kitchens, it was a natural move to apply all the client servicing, project management and design skills to form a small local bathroom company after training with the UKs 'number 1' bathroom retailer at the time.

GUILAINE

Guilaine is everything numbers, organisation, detail and planning and keeps the team on it’s toes, everything orderly and all projects on budget.

Our project administrator and product buyer, the daily logistics, essential to knitting everything together smoothly is what Guilaine’s valuable project management and accounts skills benefit from.
